Common questions
Do my clients need a Google account or GA4 access?
No. Clients just receive an email with the PDF and a link. They don't need to log in anywhere or have any analytics access. All the GA4 interaction happens on our end.
What if my GA4 access expires or gets revoked?
Montly checks connectivity before each scheduled send. If access has lapsed, you'll get an alert with enough lead time to reconnect before the send date. No report will go out with stale data.
Can I preview the report before it goes to the client?
Yes. You can trigger a manual report at any time and have it sent only to yourself. This is useful for checking formatting or showing a client the format before the first automated send.
Does Montly store my GA4 data?
Report data is fetched fresh on each send date and used only to generate that month's report. We don't build a persistent copy of your client data. Historical reports are stored as PDFs, not as raw GA4 data.
What if a client has multiple websites?
Each GA4 property gets its own client entry in Montly. If a client has three sites, you'd create three client records — each with its own property ID, delivery settings, and report.
