Terms of Service
Last updated: August 22, 2026
These terms govern your use of Montly, operated by Dumitru Lunic ("Montly", "we", "us"). By creating an account or otherwise using Montly, you agree to them. If you're accepting on behalf of an agency or company, you're confirming you have the authority to bind that organization.
1. The service
Montly connects to Google Analytics 4 (GA4) properties you link, and uses that data to generate branded reports for your clients — as a PDF, a live web link, or both — on a schedule you set, or on demand.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 18, and able to form a binding contract.
- One account per agency; don't share login credentials across separate organizations.
- You're responsible for everything that happens under your account, and for keeping your credentials secure.
- Give us accurate information — an agency name, a working contact email, and (if applicable) accurate billing details.
3. Connecting Google Analytics, and your responsibility for that data
Connecting a GA4 property is optional, but required to generate real reports. By connecting a property, you confirm:
- You're authorized to grant read access to that property — whether it's your own, or your client's and you have their permission (e.g. as part of the services agreement you already have with them).
- You, not Montly, are the data controller for that property's analytics data. Montly processes it solely to generate and deliver the reports you configure — see our Privacy Policy, Section 1, for exactly what that split means.
- You're responsible for whatever privacy notice or agreement you have with your own client covering this kind of reporting — Montly isn't a party to that relationship.
You can disconnect Google Analytics access at any time from your dashboard.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Connect a GA4 property you're not authorized to access.
- Use Montly to store or transmit anything unlawful, infringing, or harmful.
- Attempt to breach, probe, or disable any part of the service's security.
- Resell, sublicense, or provide the service to third parties as your own product.
- Reverse-engineer the service, except to the extent a law gives you that right despite this restriction.
- Use automated means to access the service beyond what a normal browser or our own integrations do.
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
5. Subscription, trial, and billing
Current pricing and trial terms are published on our pricing page and form part of these terms. In short: a free trial period, then a flat monthly subscription, billed until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account settings; cancelling stops future billing, but doesn't refund the current billing period — you keep access through its end. We may change pricing going forward, with notice to active subscribers before it takes effect on their next billing cycle.
6. Client data & report delivery
You're responsible for the accuracy of the client names, recipient email addresses, and any notes you enter into Montly — reports are delivered exactly where you tell us to send them. A live report link is a bearer credential: anyone holding a valid, unexpired link can view that report. Treat it accordingly, and don't share it anywhere you wouldn't share the report itself.
7. Intellectual property
Montly, its branding, and its underlying software are ours. You keep all rights to your own content — your agency logo, brand color, client names, and notes. Generated reports (the PDF/link output) are yours to use and share freely with your clients.
8. Disclaimers
Montly is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't warrant it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that GA4 data it displays will always be perfectly accurate or timely — Montly reads and formats data Google's APIs return to us; we don't control that data's accuracy. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Montly won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or lost profits or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability for something that cannot lawfully be limited — for example, liability arising from our own gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or liability required to be uncapped by mandatory consumer-protection or data-protection law.
10. Termination
You can stop using Montly and cancel your subscription at any time. We can suspend or terminate your account for violating these terms, non-payment, or extended inactivity, with reasonable notice where practical. On termination, your right to use the service ends; see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data afterward.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be notified to active accounts by email before taking effect; continuing to use Montly after a change takes effect means you accept it.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Austria, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute not resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Austria. If you're a consumer resident in the EU, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
13. Miscellaneous
- If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- Neither party is liable for delays caused by events outside its reasonable control.
- You can't assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- These terms, plus the documents they link to, are the entire agreement between you and Montly regarding the service.
